Therapy for Children, Teens & Families

Family is fun, right?

I mean, they are often our biggest cheerleaders, while occasionally being those that hurt us the most (hopefully that happens way less often than the cheerleader thing). We hope for a family like the Cleavers, but feel like we have the Simpsons (I’m not as old as that statement makes me sound). Learning how to adjust as our family changes takes time. Often it involves teaching the parents how to listen and hear differently just as much as it takes the children learning that.

I’ve worked with families to cope with:

  • Life transitions
  • Parent / Child Interactions
  • Children acting / lashing out
  • Anger and resentment
  • Child or Teen struggling in school
  • Child anxiety / depression
  • Teen anxiety / depression
  • Suicidal Thoughts
  • Teen Substance Abuse
  • Pornography
  • Struggles with Identity
  • Self Esteem Issues
  • Children of Divorce
  • plus more…

While the Cleavers feel like a long shot, maybe we could move a little closer to the Johnson’s (Black-ish) or the Goldbergs (The Goldbergs). Or, even better, we can just learn to be the best [fill in the blank] family we can (I don’t know your name yet, so just insert your last name there). I’m here to help.
